Dominic Hardy, 31, of East Nashville, was arrested on a DUI Charge just before 5AM on Saturday when officers were flagged down by people nearby where Hardy appeared to be sleeping or unconscious behind the wheel of her vehicle at a stop sign, wearing only her undergarments. Her vehicle was at a stop side, and in drive. She was in what appeared to be a state of sleep, with her foot resting on the brake. It took officers several minutes of knocking on windows to arouse Hardy from her state. As she slowly woke up and rolled down the window, officers were able to quickly get the vehicle into ‘park’.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF AN INTOXICANT / T.C.A. 55-10-401:
OFFICERS WERE FLAGGED DOWN AT 22ND AV AND PATTERSON ST FOR A FEMALE THAT APPEARED TO BE SLEEPING BEHIND THE WHEEL OF A VEHICLE AT A STOP SIGN. OFFICERS APPROACHED THE VEHICLE AND OBSERVED A FEMALE WHO WAS LATER IDENTIFIED AS THE DEFENDANT, IN THE DRIVERS SEAT WITH HER FOOT ON THE BRAKE AND THE VEHICLE IN DRIVE. THE DEFENDANT WAS ONLY WEARING UNDER GARMENTS. OFFICERS KNOCKED ON THE WINDOW FOR SEVERAL MINUTES ATTEMPTING TO WAKE THE DEFENDANT UP. THE DEFENDANT SLOWLY WOKE UP AND WAS ABLE TO ROLL THE WINDOW DOWN SO OFFICERS COULD PUT THE VEHICLE IN PARK. OFFICERS ASKED THE DEFENDANT WHY SHE WAS SLEEPING BEHIND THE WHEEL OF THE VEHICLE BUT THE DEFENDANT WAS UNABLE TO ANSWER. OFFICERS OBSERVED THE DEFENDANT TO HAVE BLOODSHOT WATERY EYES, SLURRED SPEECH, WAS UNSTEADY ON HER FEET, HAD AN ODOR OF AN ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE EMITTING FROM HER PERSON. UPON EXITING THE DEFENDANTS VEHICLE SHE USED THE DOOR FRAME TO STEADY HERSELF AND STUMBLED MULTIPLE TIMES. OFFICERS PERFORMED SFSTS AND THE DEFENDANT SHOWED SEVERAL INDICATORS OF IMPAIRMENT. THE DEFENDANT WAS PLACED UNDER ARREST FOR DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE.
Hardy was given a $2,000 bond and released on the pre-trial program just before 9AM Saturday to a Straightway Ave address. She will appear in court on 10/06. She has previous driving on suspended, and possession of revoked charges, in relation to her license.
