DEFENDANT: Emma F Harris
the victim reported to police that she was standing at the Litton Market at 2900 Gallatin Pike. The defendant attacked her, punching and kicking her. She was also scratched in several places.
The victim drove herself to Skyline Hospital where she was treated for a bruise on her forehead as well as scratches and soreness to her neck.
I was assigned the case. I attempted to pull video from the market but they have been uncooperative.
I also interviewed the defendant. She admitted to “whipping the victim’s ass”. She said they are former neighbors. The victim had thrown a cigarette at her in the past. They have had an ongoing feud. She admitted that she assaulted the victim because of their prior issues. This interview was audio recorded and preserved by police.
DEFENDANT: Seth Andrew Baugher
I noticed a vehicle fail to stop for the flashing red lights on N 11th at Gartland Avenue and Gallatin Avenue. I conducted a traffic stop and spoke with the driver, Mr. Baugher. I noticed his eyes were bloodshot and watery. After he stopped smoking, I noticed the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his breath. He stated he had consumed two drinks. I asked Mr. Baugher to perform SFST and noticed indicators of impairment. I took him into custody and asked him to read the implied consent form. He consented to a breath test, registering 0.157% BAC.
DEFENDANT: Paul D Maki
On 9-24-2017 reporting officer while on patrol observed a red BMW with a temporary license plate which had been involved in an accident. The front right tire was blown and the right front rim was damaged as well as the right front bumper. I was able to make contact with the driver, Mr. Paul Maki. Mr. Maki had glossy red shot eyes, slurred speech and had a strong odor of alcohol. I administered Field Sobriety Tasks of which I got 5 indicators during the standing nystagmus. Mr. Maki was unable to finish the walk and turn and the one leg stand.
At that point Mr. Maki was then taken into custody. Mr. Maki was read his rights at 0454 hours and stated he understood them. Mr. Maki then stated he refused to answer any questions without an attorney.
A run of Mr. Maki’s record on the ARMS system showed two previous DUI convictions in Tennessee. Mr.Maki then stated that he did not consent to a blood draw without a search warrant.

Officers were at 4600 Setter Ct due to a loud distrubance inside the residence in which it sounded like numerous people were fighting. The defendant then became loud and aggressive towards officers, once we were allowed inside by one of the residents. He was the asked to back up and have a seat on the couch to help calm the situation. The defendant then yelled, “I’m the boss” while he turned around in an aggressive manner swatting my flashlight out of my hand. He then pushed me with his body and arms. He was then taken into custody due to the likelihood the offense would continue.
