DEFENDANT: Kevin Lanell Whitmore

THE DEFENDANT WAS OBSERVED DRIVING ON EWING DR. THE DEFENDANT WAS TRAVELING AT 50 MPH IN A 40 MPH ZONE. I INITIATED A TRAFFIC STOP ON THE DEFENDANT. ARMS CONFIRMED THE DEFENDANTS IDENTITY AND THE FACT THE DEFENDANTS LICENSE IS SUSPENDED. THE DEFENDANT HAD A HISTORY OF DRIVING ON A SUSPENDED LICENSE. THE DEFENDANT HAS 10 FTAS AND 4 FTBS. THE DEFENDANT WAS ARRESTED ON 9-13-17 FOR DRIVING ON A SUSPENDED LICENSE THEREFORE THE DEFENDANT WAS TAKEN INTO CUSTODY.

DEFENDANT: Patience Ruth Schwering

THE DEFENDANT WAS THE DRIVER OF A VEHICLE INITIALLY OBSERVED DRIVING NORTHBOUND ON GALLATIN PKE NEAR EASTLAND AVE. THE VEHICLE’S LEFT TIRES REPEATEDLY CROSSED THE CENTER DIVIDING LINE. THE DEFENDANT NEARLY RAN A RED LIGHT ON GALLATIN PKE AND DOUGLAS AVE, AND STOPPED WELL PAST THE STOP LINE. WHEN I ACTIVATED MY BLUE LIGHTS THE DEFENDANT STOPPED NEAR THE LEFT SIDE OF HER LANE WITHOUT PULLING OVER TO THE RIGHT AT ALL. I OBSERVED AN OBVIOUS ODOR OF AN ALCOHOL BEVERAGE EMANATING FROM HER BREATH. THE DEFENDANT HAD WATERY EYES, SLIGHTLY SLURRED SPEECH, AND WAS SLOW TO ANSWER QUESTIONS. SHE ADMITTED TO DRINKING THREE BEERS. WHEN ASKED TO STEP OUT OF THE VEHICLE THE DEFENDANT INITIALLY REFUSED, AND WHEN SHE FINALLY GOT OUT SHE WAS UNSTEADY ON HER FEET, AND MISSED ON HER FIRST ATTEMPT TO STEP ON THE CURB. I CONDUCTED THE HGN TEST AND SHE SHOWED MULTIPLE INDICATORS OF IMPAIRMENT. WHEN ASKED TO MOVE TO A DIFFERENT LOCATION TO CONTINUE THE TEST, THE DEFENDANT REFUSED. SHE WAS TAKEN INTO CUSTODY FOR SUSPICION OF DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE, READ THE TENNESSEE IMPLIED CONSENT LAW AND REFUSED TO TAKE A BREATH ALCOHOL TEST. AFTER BEING READ HER MIRANDA WARNINGS THE DEFENDANT ADMITTED TO DRINKING ONE GLASS OF WINE, TWO BEERS, AND TWO SHOTS.
THE DEFENDANT WAS UNDER ARREST FOR SUSPICION OF DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE. AFTER BEING READ THE TENNESSEE IMPLIED CONSENT LAW, THE DEFENDANT REFUSED TO TAKE A BREATH TEST.

DEFENDANT: Dantarius Hancock

On 8/19/17 at 0120hrs, the victim was walking with his friend through the parking lot at 2nd Ave S and Broadway in Nashville Davidson County, TN when they were approached by 4 male black suspects. One of the suspects had a gun and pointed it at the victim. The suspects demanded money and the victim gave them $80. The suspects let the victim and his friend go and the suspect’s vehicle fled away. The victim advised officers what the suspects were wearing and gave officers a vehicle description and tag #; black Hyundai Sonata with TN Tag # xxx.
The tag is registered to the defendant’s child’s mother, xxxxxx, who resides at xxx Brick Church Pike Apt xxx. Sgt Frost aired a BOLO for the vehicle to all county wide officers.
At 0331hrs, Madison Flex Officer Craig observed the co-defendant driving the black Sonata with Tag #xxx in the parking lot of xx Brick Church Pike. The defendant, who was the passenger in the vehicle, ran from the officer. The officer observed the defendant run into Adrianna’s apartment, where he was then taken into custody.
The owner of the vehicle, Adrianna Maupins signed a consent to search for the vehicle. A loaded 9mm Ruger handgun was located in the console of the vehicle.
The defendant was transported to Central Precinct where he was mirandized. The defendant refused to speak to detective without an attorney present. The co-defendant stated that the defendant was with him at 2nd Ave S and Broadway but would not elaborate on his involvement.

DEFENDANT: Bruce J Heard

On 09-03-2017 at approximately 0357 hours Officer Reynolds and I responded to a medical call at Cahal and Scott Ave. Upon arrival Medic 18 had already responded. We saw the defendant, Bruce Heard, Slumped over the wall near the area. Medics tried to wake him up, but he appeared to be unconscious. They got him on the ambulance and applied Naxloxone. Mr heard came to and was transported to Skyline Medical Center. Officer Reynolds followed the medics to the hospital and advised me that the doctors said Mr. Heard was alert and was going to be okay. Officer Reynolds talked to Mr. Heard and asked him what happened and he stated that he snorted what he believe was to be heroin. I was at the location doing an inventory of Mr. Heard’s vehicle and found what appears to be heroin inside the center console, and it was wrapped in aluminum foil. Due to the recent outbreak of fentanyl I did not field test it and submitted as evidence. It weighed approximately .47 gram. The defendant was later interviewed by CSU and was not cooperative. His TN DL IS xxx.

DEFENDANT: Tabisengwa Balewa

On 09/12/2017 at approximately 1630 hours, officers were dispatched to the location for a call of a juvenile that had been stabbed. Witnesses stated that the defendant then chased her daughter from the residence while holding a pair of scissors. Officers were dispatched to xxx N 2nd Street but neither the victim nor the defendant was at the location. A witness led officers to 309 N 2nd Street where they located the victim and the defendant. Officer Hadley observed a laceration to the victim’s center chest. The daughter was transported to Vanderbilt Pediatrics to receive treatment for her injury.

The defendant initially told officers that she had not done anything and that her daughter had fallen and injured herself. The defendant later recanted that version of the events when she was interviewed by Detective Reese with Youth Services. After being advised of her Miranda rights, the defendant stated that she and her daughter were visiting family friends at xxx N 2nd Street. The victim stated that her daughter was playing behind a television set at the location. The defendant stated that she told the juvenile to stop three times because she was afraid that the juvenile would break the television. The defendant stated that she decided to throw something at the juvenile to get her attention and that the first thing that she saw was a pair of scissors. The defendant stated that she threw the scissors at her daughter, striking her in the chest and causing a laceration.

DEFENDANT: Tyrhe D Johnson

During the course of a narcotic investigation on the defendant. Detectives observed the defendant do a narcotic transaction at the wallgreens located at Dickerson Pke and Maplewood. Cocaine was recovered from the defendants vehicle which weighed 23.9grams and field tested positive for Cocaine base. Also recovered were a box of sandwich baggies that is was used to package up the narcotics.

During the course of a narcotic investigation on the defendant. Detectives observed the defendant do a narcotic transaction at the wallgreens located at Dickerson Pke and Maplewood. Meth was recovered from the defendants vehicle which weighed 29.6 grams and field tested positive for Meth. Also recovered were a box of sandwich baggies that is was used to package up the narcotics for sale.

Heroin was recovered from the purchasers vehicle, the heroin field tested positive. A box of sandwich baggies used to package up narcotics for resale was recovered from the defendants vehicle

Heroin was recovered from the defendants vehicle which weighed 8.7 grams and field tested positive for Heroin. Also recovered were a box of sandwich baggies that is was used to package up the heroin sold.

North CSU detectives initiated a traffic stop of a vehicle the defendant was a passenger inside of for traveling at a speed of 70mph in a post 55mph zone on Ellington Parkway. Just before getting off Ellington Parkway near Main Street the vehicle was paced traveling at a speed of 60mph in a posted 45 mph zone. Detectives stopped the vehicle at South 5th near Woodland St. As detectives exited their vehicles, the vehicle sped off onto Woodland Street towards the I-24 East entrance ramp. Detectives continued to watch the vehicle and observed it stopped in traffic on I-24 East. Detectives made contact with the vehicle and took all occupants into custody. Upon contact with the vehicle detectives detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from within the vehicle. A probable cause search of the vehicle yielded a plastic container on the center console containing 5.4 grams of cocaine (FTP) and 4.26 grams of heroin (FTP), a digital scale found on the front center floorboard, a bag containing approximately 2 grams of marijuana was found on the backseat passenger side floorboard, and a marijuana cigarette was found near the driver side door. The defendant freely admitted prior to being asked any questions that the marijuana found in the backseat area was his. After being Mirandized the defendant and his co-defendant, who was the driver of the vehicle, refused to answer any questions or speak further with detectives. The juvenile passenger of the vehicle did not claim any of the property found in the vehicle and claimed to not know of any narcotics found inside the vehicle. As a result all parties were charged accordingly with constructive possession. The defendant had equal access to the narcotics found inside the vehicle and also had money on his person in denominations consistent with drug transactions. The defendant had a total of $4399.00 on his person.
