Antonio Cathey, 25, was arrested on Tuesday and charged with ‘Poss. or Casual Exchange of Meth’ & ‘Unlawful use of Drug Paraphernalia’, after he was stopped near 14th & Church Street due to an expired temp tag on his vehicle. Cathey is well known in both the local gay scene, as well as formerly in the local wrestling scene, where he once competed.

Once MNPD officers detained Antonio Cathey outside of the vehicle, they were able to observe a glass meth pipe in the center console, which led to the discovery of two additional meth pipes in the driver’s side door.

During a search of his body, Officers felt an object in the “area of his buttocks”, and asked Cathey to release the object, which he did. A small baggie that, according to Cathey, contained methamphetamine, was found.

The MNPD affidavit references open warrants from a neighboring city, but we were unable to confirm those, and he was able to be released on a $1500 bond via Free At Last. Cathey will appear in court on November 6th.
