Officers were dispatched to 901 Division Street at the Fairfield Inn. Police located two females near the hotel sitting on the sidewalk with their legs extended into the road who matched the description of the suspects. Upon making contact, the defendant had slurred speech, a strong odor of alcohol about her person, and was unsteady on her feet. The defendant told police they had both eaten marijuana edibles. Due to her level of intoxication and due to the fact she was sitting in close proximity to lanes of travel when police made contact, she is a danger to herself and others and was taken into custody. It is still unknown if the defendant stays at the hotel, as the defendant refused to answer where she was currently staying.
