Brittany Hunter was arrested on her 9th, 10th, 11th, & 12th theft charge on Friday, just before lunch. Brittany went to target on 4 days last month, and scanned the barcode of inexpensive items, believing she was getting away with it. However each time, charges were just being added to the previous thefts, and on Friday they all caught up with her, ending in her arrest.

On 11/08, at around 9PM Hunter went to Target with another female subject, and picked out $110.00 worth of merchandise. She took the merchandise to the self-checkout, where she scanned a barcode of inexpensive item. She paid about $11 for $110 worth of merchandise, and left the store. This was recorded on video.

The next day, 11/09, at around 7:30PM Hunter went to Target with another female subject, and picked out $67.00 worth of merchandise. She took the merchandise to the self-checkout, where she scanned a barcode of inexpensive item, paying only a few dollars, and left the store. This was recorded on video.

And on the NEXT day, 11/10, at around 3PM Hunter went to Target with another female subject, and picked out $140.00 worth of merchandise. She took the merchandise to the self-checkout, where she scanned a barcode of inexpensive item, paying only a few dollars, and left the store. This was recorded on video.

Hunter then waited a week, before returning to Target. She returned on 11/17, just before noon, Hunter went to Target this time by herself, and picked out $120.00 worth of merchandise. She took the merchandise to the self-checkout, where she scanned a barcode of inexpensive item. She paid about $7.78 for $120 worth of merchandise, and left the store. This, too was recorded on video.

Bond was set at $4,000, but Hunter was released on the pre-trial program, despite having 8 prior theft charges in Nashville, and was home 3 hours later. She will appear in court January 26th.
