According to TSU Officer Derrick Hutchinson, the “sole individual known to sell brownies tainted with marijuana (b.k.a “Edibles”) on the campus of Tennessee State University ” has been arrested. Late Sunday evening, Toure Oliver Henderson was approaching his car in the parking lot of an all female dorm at Tennessee State University (TSU). According to officer Hutchinson, Toure was previously identified as “the sole individual known to sell brownies tainted with marijuana (b.k.a “Edibles”) on the campus of Tennessee State University and to proliferate marijuana in its typical street consumption form”.
When confronted by the officer, Toure admitted that he had a small box of week brownies in the trunk of his vehicle. He opened his trunk and showed the officer 25 marijuana edibles (12 square, and 13 muffin shaped). Toure then produced an orange plastic box which contained a cluster of individual baggies, totaling 25.8 grams of marijuana.

- The arresting officer, Derrick Hutchinson, use to be an MNPD officer before he was forced to resign:
- In 2005, he admitted to a personal relationship with a crime victim who said she felt intimidated by him. Hutchinson was investigating her case at the time and given a written reprimand.
- Five years later on Aug. 2, 2010, Metro police arrested Hutchinson, charging him with domestic assault by intimidation. The warrant was filed by his ex-wife.
- 2011: Hutchinson resigned from the Metro Nashville Police Department.
- Hutchinson was hired by TSU
- 2015: was suspended without pay and temporarily decommissioned after he was cited with assaulting a female security guard on campus.
Court Affidavit:
Defendant was observed at arrest location approaching his vehicle on foot. Defendant’s vehicle is distinct in appearance in that matched the vehicle stopped for a traffic violation earlier in the evening by Arresting Officer. The arrest location was an all-female dormitory parking lot of Tennessee State University. The Defendant had been previously identified as the sole individual known to sell brownies tainted with marijuana (b.k.a “Edibles”) on the campus of Tennessee State University and to proliferate marijuana in its typical street consumption form. When informed of this, the Defendant was cooperative in that he admitted to the Arresting officer he possessed a small box of said brownies in the trunk of his vehicle. The Defendant opened the trunk of the vehicle and in plain view was brownies sealed in individual plastic baggies (12 square shaped & 13 muffin-shaped). The Defendant stated these brownies were in fact made with marijuana extract. The Defendant was asked if there were anything else considered illegal in the trunk of his vehicle and the Defendant pointed out an orange colored box made of hardened plastic. This box had a small combination lock on it. The Defendant gave consent to unlock it, but opened it himself and stated the combination to the Arresting Officer as well (“7594”). Upon the Defendant unlocking and opening the box, in plain view was a cluster of small baggies filled with what appeared to be marijuana (25.8gr).
