This past Thursday, January 4th, MNPD arrested Michael Tran (San Diego, CA address) for receiving 6 pounds of high grade marijuana at an East Nashville AirBNB he was renting.
Detectives with the MNPD Major Case Task Force were working in conjunction with Detectives with the Franklin Police Department on an ongoing investigation involving the Defendant. On January 3 the Defendant traveled into East Nashville, from San Diego California. Michael Tran went to the AirBNB he had rented at 1007B N. 14th St in East Nashville.
The next day, on January 4th, Tran observed receiving a large parcel from a carrier service at the AirBNB (1007B N. 14Th St) and taking the parcel inside the front door. Shortly after receiving the parcel, the Defendant began distributing a high grade marijuana from the AirBNB residence. A search warrant was executed and detectives recovered (6) x 1 lb freezer bags containing a high grade marijuana.
Tran was booked into the DCSO, then into Williamson County. Charges in Davidson include felony possession with intent to distribute, while charges in Williamson County include money laundering.
The East Nashville AirBNB is one of 4 operated by Frank Stabile in Nashville. It is one of 3 Non-Owner Occupied STRPs he has permitted, in addition to one Owner-Occupied STRP permit, for which he also has an active landlord registration on file.
There are no recent violations at any of the properties with codes.
