Jamie Ferrell was arrested on Tuesday morning, for DUI, after coming home from her company’s February Christmas Party at Top Golf.
Jamie Ferrell was coming home from a Christmas party for her work on Tuesday (yep, in February), and sped by a cop doing 84 mph in a 55 mph zone on I24 E. She then swerved across the fog line, driving erratically as she passed the patrol car. Once she stopped and interacted with the officer, he noted her speech was slow and slurred, eyes were bloodshot, and she was unsteady on her feet, with a strong odor of alcohol coming from her breath, according to an affidavit.
Ferrell attempted to perform SFST. She completed HGN, showing all 6 possible clues, but was too intoxicated to attempt the walk and turn or one leg stand safely. Jamie Ferrell was taken into custody and she became increasingly vulgar and belligerent. According to the officer, she began to accuse him of sexually assaulting her and raping her, eventually telling him he was “going to die this night”. She kicked the inside of the patrol car, causing the officer to hobble restrain her feet. Occasionally, Ms. Ferrell would fall asleep, but would yell, scream, and thrash around when awake. The officer had to read the implied consent form to her while she yelled at him. She would not consent to a breath test.
Jamie Ferrell was taken into custody and charged with DUI & Implied Consent violation. Her bond was set at $2,000, but she was released via the pre-trial program. She will appear in court on 03/02/2018.
