#EastNashville DUI Arrest – Travis McCready (Lead Singer of Bishop Gunn)

In the early hours of Monday morning, just after 2 AM, MNPD arrested the lead singer of Bishop Gunn, Travic McCready, on a DUI Charge near Gallatin / Sharp Ave. His female passenger, Alison Binch was also charged with DUI per se, as the vehicle’s owner, for allowing him drive her vehicle knowing his level of intoxication.

According to an MNPD affidavit, Travis McCready was driving northbound on Gallatin while making erratic lane changes, signaling turns he was not making, and going well below the posted speed limit with limited other traffic at 2:17 AM. When the vehicle turned onto Sharp Ave, an officer initiated a traffic stop, and McCready struck the curb in an attempt to pull over. McCready was driving a dark colored SUV.

Upon making contact, it’s reported the officer could smell an obvious odor of alcohol coming from his breath and person, and also that he had watery, bloodshot eyes, and his movements were slow and sluggish. McCready admitted to consuming approximately 4 beers.

Travis McCready was taken into custody and charged with DUI and also for violating the implied consent law, as he refused to take a breath test.

McCready was released on the pre-trial program, and Binch was ROR’d. They will appear in court on 03/20/2018.
