Chad Singkeo left Seattle yesterday on an airplane with 25 1-lb vacuum sealed packages of marijuana, bound for Nashville. What he didn’t know was that the DEA knew what was in his luggage, and had a plan for when he landed in Music City.

On March 20, 2018 detectives with the Airport Police CID were contacted by agents with the Drug Enforcement Administration concerning an inbound Alaska Airlines passenger with contraband in his luggage. Upon arrival to the DEA office, MNPD made contact with passenger, Chad Jame Singkeo, who had just arrived into Nashville from Seattle, WA.

Chad Singkeo was approached by DEA agents who explained their function at the Nashville Int’l Airport and was asked for consent to search his luggage, to which he agreed. Approximately 25 pounds of a green leafy substance was discovered in the bag. The substance was in 25 vacuum-sealed packages weighing approximately 1 to 1.1 lbs per package. Singkeo was read the Miranda warning and admitted to being a marijuana courier. He advised that he gets paid for bringing the marijuana into Nashville. He was taken into custody by airport police investigators without incident. The drug investigation is ongoing.

According to his personal food Instagram he’s recently traveled from Seattle to Chicago, New Orleans, and Nashville, just in the past few days.

Singkeo is charged with felony ‘POSSESSION W/INTENT, MARIJUANA 4,536 G – 31,696 G’ and is held on a $15,000 bond.
