Nashville Immigrant Charged w/Raping Step-Daughter. Daniel Pascual Chiu Arrested, on ICE Detainer.

A 37 year old immigrant in Nashville, Daniel Pascual Chiu, was arrested on Thursday, charged with 1 count rape, and 1 count sexual battery, against his 16 year old step-daughter. He has 13 previous misdemeanor driving-related charges over the past 16 year, however these are his first felony charges.

Daniel Pascual Chiu, was arrested on Thursday (03/08/18), for a warrant that was issued in December for rape and sexual battery. The incident happened in September of 2017. The victim, who was 16 years old at the time, was staying at the home of her mother and step-father (the defendant) in Nashville.

According to a police affidavit, Daniel Pascual Chiu entered the room of his step daughter multiple times throughout the night and into the morning hours. During the incursions, Daniel Pascual Chiu is accused of “rubbing the victim’s feet, legs, and vagina with his hands”. Per the report he also inserted his finger into her.

Daniel Pascual Chiu was interviewed in both November & December of 2017, at which time he stated he did enter the victim’s room and rubbed her foot and leg for about a minute. He stated that was all he remembered doing, but also states he was under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs at the time of the incident.

Records indicate that Daniel Pascual Chiu has been married in Davidson County since 08/04/2014. Daniel Pascual Chiu remains in custody, charged with sexual battery & rape, on a total of a $75,000 bond. He is currently also on an ICE-Detainer hold. His first court appearance will be on 03/12/18.

He has a history of 13 prior court cases in Nashville – ALL of which are related to driving (revoked or no driver’s license). This was his first charge that wasn’t a misdemeanor in Nashville. His driving-related cases go as far back as 2002.
