Pest Control Caught Stealing Meds from 2 Homes: Baron Coffee Arrested.

East Nashville resident Baron Coffee was arrested on Thursday, after he stole prescription meds from two different residences while performing his job as their pest control person – and he was caught in the act.

On 3/8/2018 at around 0900 hours, a homeowner observed on video the her pest control person, Baron Coffee, steal some medication from her bedroom. Officers arrived on the scene and the victim advised that the defendant works for the pest company and that she observed him stealing some medication.

She advised that the defendant put the medication in his right front pocket. The victim stated that she did not confront him and immediately called the police. The victim stated that the defendant was downstairs spraying for pests. Officers made contact with the defendant in the downstairs portion of the residence. He was advised of the complaint and an officer performed a consensual pat down. He immediately recognized a pill bottle in his right front pocket. The pills were in a bottle with the complainant’s husbands name and address on them. The pills are suspected to be twelve (12) Hydrocodone pills. Upon looking through the window of the defendant’s company vehicle, MNPD observed an additional pill bottle containing Tramadol. The pill bottle was the property of another resident in the neighborhood, who reports that he performed work for her on 3/7/2018 and he did not have permission to have the medication.

Baron Coffee was charged with 2 counts of misdemeanor theft, and 1 count possession. He will appear in court on 03/20/18.
