There were 11 arrests at Steeplechase on Saturday in Nashville, and well, we’ll just leave the photos of those arrested below. Let’s just say that most charges were dismissed, and the DUI charge was ROR’d (released on her own recognizance), not even given a bond or pre-trial diversion. She is, of course, the daughter of two well-known Nashville socialites. Here are some of those arrested on Saturday at the Iroquois Steeplechase:

(Mary) Emme Simpkins

CHARGE: DUI / ROR’D (NO BOND OR PRE-TRIAL), BLEW A .115 BAC

OFFICER WAS DISPATCHED TO STEEPLECHASE FOR A POSSIBLE INTOXICATED DRIVER. THE DEFENDANT WAS OPERATING THE VEHICLE WHICH HAD TURNED INTO THE BUS DROP OFF AREA. THE VEHICLE DROVE THROUGH THE AREA QUICKLY GETTING CLOSE TO HITTING PEDESTRIANS. EMME SIMPKINS ADMITTED TO OFFICER COTE SHE HAD BEEN DRINKING CHAMPAGNE AND HE CALLED ARRESTING OFFICER TO THE SCENE. OFFICER ARRIVED TO THE SCENE AND OBSERVED THE DEFENDANT IN THE DRIVER SEAT. THERE WAS AN OBVIOUS OF OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE AND THE DEFENDANT HAD GLASSY EYES. OFFICER ASKED DEFENDANT TO EXIT THE VEHICLE TO DO STANDARDIZED FIELD SOBRIETY TASKS AND SHE AGREED. DEFENDANT SHOWED MULTIPLE INDICATORS OF IMPAIRMENT THROUGH OUT THE TASKS AND WAS PLACED INTO CUSTODY FOR DUI. DEFENDANT ADMITTED TO OFFICER SHE CONSUMED DRINKS THROUGH OUT THE DAY. SHE WAS READ THE TN IMPLIED CONSENT FORM AND ASKED TO TAKE A BREATH TEST. SHE AGREED TO THE TEST AND THE RESULTS WERE .115G / 210L.

James Sansone

CHARGE: DISORDERLY CONDUCT / PUBLIC INTOX / $200 Bond.

The defendant was involved in a fight on the Center Field of Steeplechase. He had an obvious odor of alcohol about his person, bloodshot/watery eyes, and admitted to drinking. Officers observed the defendant fighting with others in the area of lot 269.

 

Nicholas Sansone

CHARGE: PUBLIC INTOX / $100 Bond.

The defendant was observed in a physical altercation in the centerfield of the steeplechase. The other party was no longer on the scene when officers arrived. Upon contact with the defendant, officers could smell a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his person. He had slurred speech, blood shot watery eyes, and unsteady on his feet. He was taken into custody without further incident.

Sawyer Crow

CHARGE: PUBLIC INTOX / DISMISSED & RELEASED 

Subject was on the infield of Steeplechase engaging in fights with others. He had an obvious odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from about his person. He had blood shot & watery eyes, slurred speech, and admitted to drinking.

Chris Johnson

CHARGE: PUBLIC INTOX / DISMISSED & RELEASED 

While working Steeplechase, there was a physical altercation involving multiple subjects in the center field area. When officers arrived on the scene, many subjects had fled the area or were still in verbal altercations. The defendant was taken into custody. He had a strong odor of alcohol about his person, his speech was very slurred and he could not walk without assistance. It was obvious he was unable to take care of himself.

CHARGE: PUBLIC INTOX / DISMISSED & RELEASED 

The defendant was involved in a fight on the Center Field of Steeplechase. He had an obvious odor of alcohol about his person, bloodshot/watery eyes, and admitted to drinking. Officers observed the defendant fighting with others in the area of lot 269.

Sidney Lewis

CHARGE: DISORDERLY CONDUCT / PUBLIC INTOX / PRE-TRIAL-RELEASE

The defendant was involved in a physical fight at Center field near lot 286 at Steeple Chase event. Officer made contact with the defendant and the other involved party. They stated that they got into a fight over the traffic flow. While talking to both parties officers noticed that they smelled of an alcoholic beverage, their eyes were blood shot, and they had slurred speech. Due to the likelihood the offense would continue a citation was not issued.

Mitchill Rojas

CHARGE: PUBLIC INTOX / DISMISSED & RELEASED 

The defendant stumbled onto a closed portion of the track in the Center field area of Steeplechase. The defendant proceeded to fall to the ground and struggle to get back to his feet. When I approached the defendant, he had an odor of alcohol about his person. He slurred when he spoke and had bloodshot/watery eyes. I took the defendant into custody because he was a danger to himself.

Caroline Carlson Nelson

CHARGE: PUBLIC INTOX / DISMISSED & RELEASED 

The defendant was observed walking through the field next to the horse track. the defendant was unsteady on her feet. The defendant has an obvious odor of alcoholic beverage coming from her person. The defendant’s eyes were blood shot & watery. The defendant walked across the race track during a race, therefore she was a danger to herself and others. She was placed under arrest without incident.

Dudley Duncan Smith Jr

CHARGE: PUBLIC INTOX / $100 BOND

The defendant was involved in an altercation at Percy Warner Park during the Steeplechase event. When officers arrived they made contact with the defendant who was visibly intoxicated indicated by: bloodshot watery eyes, slurred speech, unsteadiness on his feet and the defendant readily admitted to being heavily intoxicated. The defendant was placed into custody due to his high level of intoxication being one in which he cannot properly care for himself.

William Lee Elliott

CHARGE: PUBLIC INTOX / $100 BOND

ON 05/12/2018 I WAS WORKING STEEPLECHASE AS A TRANSPORT OFFICER. I WAS CALLED OVER TO ASSIST OFFICER LUU WITH A PUBLIC INTOXICATION ARREST HE HAD MADE NEAR CENTER FIELD. OFFICER LUU ADVISED ME THE DEFENDANT WAS INTOXICATED STUMBLING AROUND AND THEY TRIED GETTING HIM SOME MEDICAL TREATMENT. THE DEFENDANT HAD A STRONG ODOR OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE EMITTING FROM HIS EXHALED BREATH, WAS UNSTEADY ON HIS FEET, AND WAS WALKING INTO PEOPLE. WHEN I ASKED THE DEFENDANT FOR SOME INFORMATION, HE STATED “I’M DRUNK”. THE DEFENDANT HAD NO FTA’S, FTB’S, OR WARRANTS.
