21-year-old Dontae Easley is waking up in the Davidson County Jail this morning with new 3 felony and 3  new misdemeanor charges, after he was arrested for selling crack cocaine in North Nashville while pushing a six-month old baby in a stroller in the road.

MNPD says they received an anonymous complaint regarding a male black, blue shorts, dreadlocks with gold tips, pushing a baby stroller selling drugs at the corner of 16th Avenue North and Cockrill street just before 10 AM on Thursday.

Police observed the Dontae Easley walking on the street where a sidewalk was available on 16th avenue north near Wheless Street pushing a six month old baby, and matching the description from the tip. When police made contact with Easley they report he was nervous and had a strong odor of marijuana coming from him.

A search was conducted, which yielded a loaded 9 mm Smith & Wesson handgun in his front right pocket, along with a set of digital scales. Also found was 12 grams of marijuana and 2 grams of a white rock that tested positive for cocaine base. Easley has $1,252 in cash on him, in various denominations. This all happened within 1,000 feet of Robert Churchwell Elementary School.

While in custody in the back seat of the patrol car, Easley admitted to selling the drugs and having the gun for protection. The gun returned as stolen out of Columbia, TN.

Dontae Easley is charged with theft, possession, possession of cocaine in a school zone, paraphernalia, child endangerment, and weapon possession charges. His is currently held on a $47,000 bond.
