Austin Nicholas Bean, 29, was arrested Wednesday afternoon, charged with harassment/distress, after his ex-girlfriend says he just wouldn’t leave her alone.
According to an arrest warrant, the victim is Austin Bean’s ex-girlfriend. she says that Bean continues to harass her and won’t stop calling, texting, and sending pictures, even after being asked to stop.
She states the two dated for several months, and since the breakup earlier this month, she refuses to communicate with him, which upset Bean. The affidavit reads “he has now sent text messages saying his kid’s mother is going to come and beat” the victim.
The victim says Austin told her “So, you wanna get your ass kicked on the 4th of July? We showing up tomorrow and the next day, and the next day, and the next day, and the next day, and the next day, and the next day, and the next day.”
Bean also sent the victim a photo with a gun in his lap and a caption that reads:
“When u been straped all day and someone tell u thay going to get someone to kick your ass…ok go get em #NotThe1ToPlayWith.”
Bean continued to call and text the victim multiple times since the breakup, and the victim says this has caused emotional stress, and she is afraid for her life. She also states that Bean comes to her place of employment and harasses her.
Austin Bean was charged with harassment/distress, and posted a $2,000 bond via Free At Last, and will appear in court on 07/31/18.
Bean provided the following statement in response to the incident:
“Just so I can clear the air I was arrested yesterday for harassment but I’m going to show u proof of what happened…yesterday a female was texting me and talking to me on the phone about some ugly dude that she talk to so I just hung up the phone in her face and went on with my day now this is where u start to look at the screenshots I posted because I went from not talking to her to now out of no where I have a warrant for harassment…..all because I didn’t wanna talk to her ladys u got to do better dont make up lies so someone so thay can go to jail because you got cut off….and yes I told her I would get my babymomma to beat her ass”
Previous charges include Burglary of a motor vehicle, vandalism, coercion of a witness, aggravated robbery, and aggravated assault. In 2007 Bean videotaped a friend as the friend cocked a handgun and pointed it at a 15-year-old female, putting her in fear of her life. He then posted the video to the internet and campaigned to have a friend released from jail. Part of his sentence was to “remove footage from myspace, and wear a sandwich board sign one Thursday a month, and prepare a 15-minute video explaining the dangers of guns and gangs on myspace.
