Metro Police have identified convicted armed robber and parolee Travis Andrew Harris as the gunman responsible for Tuesday night’s fatal shooting of Quintin Brooks, 24, in a parking lot of McFerrin Community Center on Grace Street in east Nashville.
So far, efforts to locate Harris, 27, have been unsuccessful. He should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone seeing Harris or knowing his whereabouts is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.
Police say it appears that Brooks drove to the closed community center and parked for several minutes prior to a gunman approaching and firing shots into Brooks’ vehicle. Brooks was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he died. The motive for the gunfire is believed to involve a dispute over a woman.
