Terrence Brown, 15, has now been arrested for the aggravated robbery of a 24-year-old Nashville woman outside her home on 5th Ave North in Germantown, on July 3rd.

The woman had just arrived home and was getting out of her car when a car came from a nearby alley and pulled up beside her. The front seat passenger, pulled a pistol and demanded that she surrender her purse. She complied with his demands.

Brown was arrested by the Juvenile Crimes Task Force on Wednesday, in what started as a recovery of a stolen 2015 Jeep Cherokee taken from South Nashville on Sunday.  There were 6 young men riding in it at the time of arrest, which was assisted by the MNPD helicopter tracking the vehicle.

Officers watched the Jeep pick up students from Johnson Alternative School and then attempted to stop it. The driver refused to pull over and ground units did not pursue it as an MNPD helicopter was watching the Jeep’s travels from above. The SUV got onto I-40 east before existing and eventually stopping near a church on 43rd Avenue North at Albion Street. The six occupants all bailed out and ran. Inside the Jeep were 186 live rounds of ammunition, but no guns.

The helicopter crew gave guidance to ground units in setting up a perimeter. All six individuals, three juveniles (one 15-year-old and two 17-year-olds) and three adults (one 20-year-old and two 21-year-olds) were taken into custody and were all charged in the appropriate court with auto theft and evading arrest.
