Just after 12 AM on Wednesday, the Juvenile Crime Task Force arrested two teens on outstanding warrants for their involvement in a June 24th shootout on Charles E. Davis Boulevard near Cannon Street that injured three persons.

Officers developed information that Kemontae Hill, 18, and a 15-year-old were at 689 Lewis Street. During the execution of a search warrant, officers made entry and found both teens hiding in upstairs bedroom closets.

Investigation by Hermitage Precinct detectives showed that Hill and the 15-year-old were in a violent feud with one of the victims, a 16-year-old who was critically injured in an exchange of gunfire. The 16-year-old was sitting inside a parked vehicle at the time of the shooting. A 57-year-old man sitting on a wall nearby was struck in the leg. Another innocent bystander, a 24-year-old woman, suffered a graze wound to her shoulder.

Kemontae Hill, of Tulip Grove Road, is charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, unlawful handgun possession, vandalism, criminal trespass, evidence tampering, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He is being held in lieu of $308,500 bond. The 15-year-old is charged in Juvenile Court with attempted murder, aggravated assault, vandalism, juvenile handgun possession (2nd offense), and evidence tampering.
