Accused Murder Deion Woodruff Killed Overnight & Dumped Out of Vehicle

He was wanted for a May 1st murder inside a Church Street hookah bar as well as an afternoon July 12th shootout on Bell Road near the Global Mall

Deion Woodruff, 23, was discovered by an MNPD sergeant, unresponsive and suffering from a gunshot wound just before 10:30 p.m. at the intersection of 32nd Avenue North and Clifton Avenue. Woodruff appeared to have been pushed out of a vehicle at the intersection. He was rushed to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

At the time of his death, Woodruff was wanted for the May 1st fatal shooting of Marqondis Thompson, 21, inside Medusa hookah bar at 1805 Church Street.  He was also wanted on charges of attempted murder and carjacking in regard to the exchange of gunfire between occupants of two SUVs at the intersection of Bell Road and Eagle View Boulevard. Woodruff was alleged to have carjacked a Chevrolet Malibu from a nearby convenience market after the shooting stopped.
