Hermitage Man Hanged Himself During SWAT Standoff

According to Metro Police, Darin Creech, 31, hanged himself during a SWAT standoff on Thursday.

Police were called to the Central Valley Drive home on Thursday, after Darin Creech is alleged to have threatened his girlfriend and a male acquaintance with a machete.

Both victims fled the home and called police, and attempted to make contact with Creech for several hours via negotiators, including breaking out a window to feed a direct phone into the residence. Eventually, forced entry was made, and officers located Darin Creech deceased, from suicide, via hanging.
