Juvenile Crime Task Force officers Wednesday night arrested 16-year-old Javonterious Starnes on a charge of criminal homicide for the gunshot death of 55-year-old Beverly Hicks, an innocent woman who died July 10th from bullets fired into her Calais Circle home in Antioch a month earlier on the evening of June 11th.

On the evening of June 11th, individual(s) in a silver Nissan Maxima opened fire on the Calais Circle home. Bullets went through a window and struck Hicks, who was in bed. She was rushed to Vanderbilt University Medical Center and ultimately died of complications of being shot. The investigation shows that the gunfire stemmed from a dispute Starnes and Ridley were having with Hicks’ nephew, 16-year-old Lazerick Lambert.

Starnes and Ridley are alleged to have robbed and shot Lambert June 8th on Haynes Park Drive. The bullets that killed Hicks are alleged to have been fired in furtherance of the dispute between the teenagers, in that Lambert also lived at the Calais Circle residence.
