Michael Russell, 18, Implicates Himself in Antioch Murder During Questioning

Tonight, MNPD South Precinct detectives are charging Michael Russell, 18, with criminal homicide for the August 11th shooting death of Craig Crisp, 24, in the parking lot of Hickory Lake Apartments on Apache Trail in Antioch.

Russell was taken into custody at an Anderson Road condo complex.  He implicated himself in the murder during questioning.

Brandon Caruthers (MNPD)

Both Russell, and Brandon Caruthers, 15, are also suspects in the August 5th armed robbery of a 54-year-old woman in the same apartment complex parking lot that occurred at 5 AM, which was the same time Crisp was killed on August 11th. In addition to criminal homicide, Russell is being charged with aggravated robbery in the August 5th case.
