Six days after an MNPD officer shot and killed Dan Hambrick, and three days before his funeral, the department arrested two members of his family and took them into custody during a traffic stop on Wednesday.
While speaking to Milayshia, who was driving, Officer Cavis smelled an odor of marijuana, and conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle. Inside the vehicle a backpack was observed in the back seat, containing three separate bags of marijuana, totaling 60 grams. Also in the backpack was a Magnum Research 9 mm handgun, which returned as stolen out of Murfreesboro.
Milayshia Hambrick, who also had a suspended driver’s license, admitted to ownership of both the handgun and the marijuana, she was charged paraphernalia, theft, driving on suspended, felony weapon possession, and felony drug possession w/intent.
Lynn Hambrick was found to have an outstanding citation from a year ago for driving on a revoked license, he was taken into custody on that charge.
Lynn’s Bond was set at $2,000 for the driving on the outstanding revoked license charge, and Milayshia’s bond for all charges was set at $12,000. Both paid bonds via Able Bonding and were released.
