Kutonia Smith-Bond was driving Friday afternoon during rush hour, with her passenger, Dujuane Bond. They were on Jefferson Street, near 28th Ave, when she decided to use the middle lane as her lane of choice, to avoid the traffic, for what officers called ‘an extended period of time’.

An officer made a traffic stop on the vehicle, to find that Kutonia Smith-Bond’s license was revoked. She stepped out of the vehicle, and consented to a search of the Nissan Altima. When her passenger, Dejuane Bond, stepped out of the vehicle, he left a plastic bag containing 1 gram of cocaine in the seat. Under his seat was another 2 grams of white powder, which he admitted was cocaine.
