Girlfriend smashes windshield, kicks hole in door to attack boyfriend with pipe

Davianna Hyde was arrested on Sunday afternoon, after she admitted to smashing the windshield of her boyfriend’s car, and then broke through the door he had barricaded himself behind, to attack him with a metal pipe. She is currently free on a $7,500 bond.

Police responded to the 24th Avenue North residence for a reported domestic disturbance Sunday afternoon. The victim told police he was arguing with his girlfriend, 24-year-old Davianna Hyde. At some point the argument escalated when Hyde began yelling and throwing things around the house. During that portion of the argument, the victim disarmed Hyde of a knife she was carrying, and said her finger was cut in the process. The boyfriend/victim them barricaded himself in his room, in fear of her.

While the boyfriend was barricaded in his room, Davianna Hyde went outside and smashed the windshield of the victim’s car. She then returned inside the house, and proceed to attempt to kick in the bedroom door. After she had kicked a hole in the door large enough for her use, she took a metal pipe and began to beat the boyfriend with it through the hole in the door, according to a police report.

Officers observed visible injuries to the boyfriend consistent with being hit with a pipe, and he also had a knife cut from the previous struggle. Hyde also admitted to smashing the windshield of his vehicle.

Davianna Hyde was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon & vandalism. She posted a $7,500 bond and will appear in court on 12/18/2018.
