A resident of Beech Avenue came home on Monday to find a burglar in his home. Kevin Stodghill, 49, is in custody on 2 counts of aggravated burglary and 1 count aggravated assault, after he threatened to kill the resident.
Police say the victim arrived home to find Stodghill inside his South Nashville home. Stodghill confronted the victim with a large glass, threatening to kill him, before fleeing on foot.
A Midtown Hills officer spotted Stodghill based on the victim’s description, and took him into custody after a foot chase, and was positively identified. A review of the victim’s residence also found that Stodghill had left mail and other items taken from a neighboring house inside the victim’s residence.
