Metro Police K-9 Ringo and his partner, Officer Spencer Harris, tracked 21-year-old Jairo Hernandez, who was wanted for burglary, on Blackman Drive this afternoon, where he was taken into custody after being found hiding in a shed.

Police say it all started at 6:30 a.m. on Friday, when they responded to a burglary call in the 5000 block of Edmondson Pike. The resident was awakened by the sound of breaking glass, and found a man in his kitchen, where the two fought before the burglar fled.

Ringo found a track on the suspect, and he was found hiding in a small shed in the 200 block of Blackman Drive.

Jario Hernandez, 19, is charged with aggravated burglary. At time of publication he had not yet been in front of a commissioner to have his bond set.
