Five individuals, including a mother and her sons, have been arrested on 33 charges after a months long drug investigation during which police secretly put a GPS tracker on a vehicle, and secretly took curbside trash to search for evidence on multiple occasions.
In September of 2018, the Crime Suppression Unit out of the Hermitage Precinct was able to obtain an order to place a GPS tracker on 21-year-old Jalen Cooke’s maroon Pontiac G6, due to his suspected involvement in narcotics trafficking and sales. Since September, the tracker showed the vehicle traveled to Detroit, Michigan, on four different occasions, three of which were less than 24-hour stays. This was important to detectives, because during a February 2018 interview subsequent to arrest, Cooke had admitted to detectives that he buys marijuana from Detroit for the purposes of selling it in Nashville (those February charges were dismissed and deferred – some of which can now be re-opened).
While monitoring the GPS device, detectives observed that each time the Pontiac G6 returned to Nashville, it immediately went to a residence on Baptist World Center Drive, and left after only a few minutes. With this information in mind, on November 20th, detectives were conducting physical surveillance of the residence when the G6 returned from once such trip. When the G6 pulled into the driveway, Jalen Cooke exited the driver’s side of the vehicle and go into the residence.
Soon after, two vehicles then pulled into the driveway, and Jalen Cooke, Jaylen Holmes, and Miles Anderson exited from the house. Cooke and Holmes assisted drive, identity unknown, of one of the vehicles with loading multiple packages into the driver’s vehicle, while Miles Anderson left with an unknown person in his Nissan Maxima.
During this same period of time, detectives had conducted several “trash pulls” from the residence, where they secretly take your trash from the curb, and bring it in to search for evidence. On two of those trash pulls, detectives had found and seized marijuana from the trash of the residence. Those trash pulls were the basis for obtaining a search warrant on the home, which was executed on Tuesday, December 4th.
During the execution of the search warrant, the following individuals were present and arrested:

- Sean Holmes (19)
- Miles Anderson (25)
- Jalen Cooke (21)
- Jaylen Holmes (21)
Found during the search was:
- Black Ruger w/5 rounds in pool room (stolen)
- 230 grams marijuana (under stairs)
- 2 grams marijuana (Sean’s room)
- 6 grams marijuana (Zakkiyah’s room)
- 28 grams marijuana (pool room dresser)
- 110 oxycodone (vehicle of Miles)
- 4 grams heroin (vehicle of Miles)
- $2070 currency (pock of Miles)
- Black Keltec firearm (vehicle of Jaylen Holmes)
- Scales (pool room & living room)
- baggie of white powder cocaine (unspecified)
- 14 grams cocaine (behind pool room bar)
- 8 grams heroin (pants of Jaylen Holmes)
- 24 grams cocaine (pants of Jaylen Holmes)
- 41 oxycodone pills (pants of Jaylen Holmes)
- cocaine powder spread across pool room carpet
- $1416 currency (pants of Jaylen Holmes)
- 30 grams of marijuana (pants of Sean Holmes)
None one admitted ownership of the white powder cocaine spread across the carpet in the pool room, of the two firearms, the multiple baggies of marijuana, the multiple scales, found inside the residence.
Each are charged with multiple felonies. Jaylen Holmes is held on $109,000 bond for 8 charges. Jalen Cooke is held on $75,000 bond on 5 charges. Miles Anderson is held on $109,000 bond for 8 charges. Sean Holmes is held on $115,000 bond on 7 charges. Mother Zakkiyah Morrow-Holmes has now posted a $59,000 bond for her 5 charges.
