On Saturday, we reported about the arrest of Nashville Juvenile Probation Officer Thomas Myers, for sexual battery against a 16-year old male probationer. Today, we have learned that he gave his victim a choice: oral sex, or masturbate in front of the officer.
According to an arrest warrant, 29-year-old Thomas Myers went to the home of the 16-year-old victim on November 15th to discuss a potentially positive drug test result. The victim came outside and sat in the passenger side of the vehicle driven by Thomas Myers. The victim says that Myers told him there would be consequences for the positive drugs test, and gave him two options. He could perform oral sex on his probation officer, or masturbate in front of him.
The 16-year-old victim began to masturbate in front of the 29-year-old probation officer, at which time Myers is said to have reached over and “grabbed the victim’s penis”, according to the warrant. The victim then got out of the vehicle, and returned to his residence. It was unclear if there was any actual positive drug test, or if this was just a part of the way to commit the sexual battery against the victim.
During the investigation, Youth Services Sex Crimes Detectives conducted a controlled phone call between the victim and Myers. Myers was hesitant to discuss the incident over the phone, and wanted to meet in person to discuss. Myers did tell the victim that he had arranged for a negative drug test and the victim was no longer on probation, during the monitored call. The warrant also states that Myers did corroborate that ‘something’ had happened i the vehicle, but would not discuss the incident any further over the phone.
As reported on Saturday, Myers was arrested and charged with sexual battery by an authority figure, and is free on a $10,000 bond. Other persons who believe Myers acted inappropriately toward them is urged to contact the MNPD’s Youth Services Sex Crimes Unit at 615-862-7417.

Sex Crimes Detective Elizabeth Mills began an investigation of Myers Thursday after the victim reported that Myers had inappropriately touched him last month while he was in Myers’ vehicle discussing the teen’s probation. Myers was immediately placed on administrative leave pending a disciplinary hearing. His access to Juvenile Court records and cases has been removed.

Myers is free on $10,000 bond.
