Metro police identified Ramell Webster, 34, as being involved in the heroin trade, then undercover detectives from the West and East Precincts exited a search warrant Monday at Webster’s 1409-B Douglas Avenue home. Found inside were a half-pound of heroin, five guns (two of which were stolen), ammunition, more than $2,600 cash, and a hydraulic press in the kitchen that was used to compress heroin into brick form.  Webster’s 2015 Cadillac sedan was seized under the belief that it was acquired with drug proceeds.

Police say Caddias House, 42, of Murfreesboro, found out that being with his heroin distributing friend at the time of his arrest was not good for him, particularly when he was holding nearly 1,000 Xanax pills as officers approached.  The discovery of the pills led West Precinct detectives to enlist the help of the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office in executing a search warrant at House’s Murfreesboro apartment. Found inside were 2,500 Xanax pills and $8,000 cash.  House’s 2012 Dodge Challenger car was also seized under the belief that it was funded with drug money.
