Hermitage Smoothie King burglarized overnight: safe & cash from drawer taken

Overnight, the Hermitage Smoothie King on Lebanon road was burglarized, as it appears one or more thieves kicked through the front glass door to gain entry.

The new location just opened in October of 2018. Owner Paul McCulloch says this burglary was “very brazen, because our store sits right out on Lebanon Road in front of Publix. It is very well-lit up. I can’t believe they kicked our glass door in at this spot.”

Taken overnight was a safe and the cash from the register’s cash drawer. McCulloch says it wasn’t a lot of money, because most customers use credit cards to buy smoothies.

Smoothie King is offering a reward for tips that lead to a conviction in this case. The store says they have already put extra security measures in place to prevent this from happening again.
