Soldier drags girlfriend across Demonbreun by hair, slashes face with knife, spits blood on MNPD Officer’s face

Ft. Campbell soldier Ryan Turner, 25, is free on an $11,000 bond after he was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon of his girlfriend, and assault of a police officer, in the early morning hours of January 1st.

According to police, who were able to view video footage of the incident, Ryan Turner and his girlfriend, who works as an international fashion model, were in an argument outside in the 1500 block of Demonbreun Street. The situation escalated, and Turner began to punch his girlfriend in the face, and then dragged her across the street by her hair.

Some nearby pedestrians attempted to intervene, at which time Turner displayed a knife and cut the victim’s face and arm, before attempting to flee the scene on foot. Security from a nearby bar, a security guard that was passing by, and bystander were able to apprehend Turner until Metro Police arrived. While Officer Jonathan Hadley was taking Turner into custody, Turner spit blood from his mouth onto Officer Hadley’s face.

Ryan Martin Turner was released on an $11,000 bond, and will appear in court on January 15th.
