14-year-old armed robbery suspect arrested with another teen, 3 guns & marijuana seized

West Precinct undercover officers Tuesday night arrested a 14-year-old accused armed robber after seeing him walk into a residence in the 4000 block of Indiana Avenue.

Jayemus Daniels, 14 (MNPD)

Jayemus Daniels was wanted for committing a robbery on the TSU campus. When officers knocked on the door, they smelled a strong odor of marijuana and sought a search warrant. Recovered from inside the residence were three loaded pistols, one of which had been reported stolen, and 133 grams of marijuana. In addition to aggravated robbery, Daniels was charged with unlawful gun possession and marijuana possession for resale.

Alvin Hinds, 18 (MNPD)

Another person present, Alvin Hinds, 18, was also charged with marijuana possession for resale. At the time of his arrest, Hinds was also out on bond for a pending weapons charge.
