Police responded to Scoreboard Bar & Grill on Music Valley Drive on Wednesday in response to a burglary that occurred earlier in the day at approximately 3:00 a.m. Management told police two white males, later identified as William Cosper, and Jimmy Lepley, had entered the bar and stole approximately $1,700 worth of merchandise, including beer and liquor. The entire incident was recorded on video.

Management recognized at least one of the burglars, and called police back after they had left, when he realized at least one of the burglars had posted images and videos of some of the stolen merchandise, including two coolers of alcohol.

William Cosper (MNPD)

The two burglars, Cosper and Lepley, were located at the nearby Fiddler’s Inn Hotel in an extension of the building and were taken into custody. During questioning, police say Cosper stated he had been in the building in an attempt to stay warm, and had plans to sleep there overnight. He claimed he did not take anything, but his co-defendant, Lepley was trying to sell the stolen alcohol at the nearby McDonald’s. Both were observed on the video of the incident.

Jimmy Lepley (MNPD)

William Cosper, 33, and Jimmy Lepley, 38, are both charged with burglary, and each are being held in lieu of $3,500 individual bonds. They will have review hearings on Friday morning.
