Dalton Woodcock was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant on Valentine’s Day, properly dressed in a red shirt. He had been avoiding the warrant since June of 2017, the day he punched his father in the face, giving him a bloody nose.

According to an arrest report, Dalton and his father were in a heated argument for what his father says was Dalton “being an ungrateful drug addict”. His father decided to drive Dalton to the Rescue Mission on Lafayette Street to “show him what it is like to be homeless”. During the drive, the two continued to argue, and Dalton eventually punched his father in the nose, just two blocks from the mission’s front door. Police say Dalton punched his father in the face twice, causing his nose to bleed, before fleeing toward 5th Ave, then continuing down Lafayette Street.
