Metro Police initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle going 90 mph in a 70 mph zone Monday afternoon. That’s where they met passenger Jessie Knowles, who told them about the drugs hidden in his underwear.
The traffic stopped happened at I-40 West near Donelson Pike. As the occupants of the vehicle were being identified, it was discovered that the passenger, Jessie Knowles, had an outstanding warrant, and was taken into custody. Knowles told officers he had narcotics hidden in his underwear, and they allowed him to retrieve them. Jessie Knowles retrieved a plastic bag from his underwear, with smaller bags inside. One of the smaller bags contained 5 grams of heroin, while another contained 1.5 grams of crystal methamphetamine.
Jessie Knowles, 21, was charged with simple possession, possession with intent SCH I, and possession with intent SCH II, along with the outstanding state citation for simple possession. He posted a $22,000 bond via Brooke’s Bail Bonding, and is scheduled to appear in court in March.
