Traffic stop nets 40 THC cartridges, 4 vials THC; driver says it was all for his friends.

John Austin, 29, was felony possession with intent to distribute of a schedule VI drug on Monday, when officers found THC cartridges in his vehicle during a traffic stop.

NNPD Officer Darien Spann conducted a traffic stop on John Austin on Rosa Parks Boulevard, and his report states that as he approached the vehicle, he detected the ‘clear odor of marijuana’ coming from the vehicle. Through a probable cause search, 40 THC cartridges, 4 vials of THC, and 30.2 grams of marijuana were seized. Austin told the officer he purchased everything that was seized to “distribute to his friends.”

John Austin was charged with charged with felony possession with intent to distribute, and later freed on pre-trial release. He is scheduled to appear in court in March.
