Shots were fired outside Urban Air Adventure & Trampoline Park, 4331 Old Hickory Boulevard, late Saturday night as the venue tried a ‘teen night’. Here is some video of the incident, below. We can confirm that Nashville Fire had multiple ambulances on scene, but have been unable to confirm specific injuries, though early reports are that 3 were transported from the area for non-gunshot related injuries. Note: there was an additional fight/incident in the parking lot outside of Altitude Trampoline Park, happening at the same time.

Stephanie Pederson, owner of Urban Air, released the following statement:

“Our teen night event got shared and went viral on Instagram and it got out of control. We were fully staffed, had security on site, and shut the doors early due to how many people were showing up, but it was too much. A fight broke out inside, which we do not tolerate, so we started asking people to leave. Outside in the parking lot additional fights broke out and then there were gunshots. Thank God no one was hurt.
Please know this is NOT something we tolerate. The safety of our staff and our guests is the most important thing to us. There will no longer be any more teen nights, and we will increase security. Urban Air is supposed to be a family friendly establishment and it truly breaks my heart for our staff and our customers that something like this could happen.”

When asked about the hundreds of teens with alcohol, posting themselves drunk at the venue, Pederson told us:

We do not serve alcohol. It was snuck in. Kids were sneaking in when we told them no more. They were jumping behind our concessions area and stealing. We had security there, but unfortunately it was not enough. I’m not okay with any of this and we will do our best to make sure this doesn’t happen again. First thing is NO more teen night and increased security.

This is a developing story, and will be updated as needed.
