Lebanon Police Department Sgt. Steve Green was dispatched to a two-car accident with injuries at the intersection of Carthage Highway and East Baddour. Paramedics were already speaking to one of the drivers, Wilson County Sheriff’s Office Captain Wendell ‘Cheryl’ Henry, who was outside of her vehicle. She was overheard telling paramedics she had been drinking wine earlier in the day.

During an interview, Henry stated that she had been drinking wine at 11:00 a.m., and Sgt. Green noted a faint smell of alcohol coming from her breath, and she was unsteady on her feed with slurred speech. Henry agreed to perform 3 field sobriety tests, all of which she reportedly performed poorly on.
