Metro Police, along with postal inspectors from the USPS, intercepted a package of 3.61 pounds of black tar heroin in route to an Antioch home used as a drop and stash house on Friday, and conducted a controlled delivery to the Griggs Place address.
Detectives from the Hermitage Crime Suppression Unit conducted surveillance on the residence, as well as the package, as it was delivered by a USPS Inspector, and left at the front door of the residence at 744 Griggs Place. Shortly after, detectives observed 23-year-old Henry Enriquez drive to the address and park in the driveway. Detectives described Enriquez as ‘appearing extremely nervous’ as exited his vehicle, walked to the front door, and retrieved the package. As Enrique was getting back into the driver’s seat of his vehicle, he was taken into custody with the package still in his hands.
Enrique told detectives he had a key to the residence, and had been there before, but refused to answer any more questions. He was booked into the Davidson County jail, charged with possession of a schedule 1/2 drug weighing 200-1,999 grams, a class B felony. He is now free on a $75,000 bond.
