Zachary Charles Rouser, 27, was arrested Wednesday afternoon for 2 open warrants, charging him with one felony count of aggravated assault on his wife, when she refused to give him money, and one misdemeanor count of domestic assault on his mother, when she tried to intervene.

Metro Police responded to the Hermitage home in February, in response to a domestic disturbance call. When Zachary Rouser’s mother answered the door she told officers that her son was in an argument with his wife over money. According to the wife’s statement, she refused to give Zachary money, and in response their argument escalated, and he strangled her. Zachary’s mother witnessed his hand on his wife’s throat and intervened. Zachary reportedly then pushed his mother back into a guitar case, where she sustained visible injuries.
