Tyler Cutter[fb], 29, was arrested on Friday, charged with one misdemeanor count of theft, and one felony count of theft, accused of stealing multiple narcotics from a 94-year-old relative of the man he was providing care for, as a home health care worker.
Cutter works for Honey Hill Home Care, which was founded by his father and sister. A phone call with Rebecca Cutter on Monday morning confirmed that Tyler was still employed by the agency, and remains listed on the website as ‘Director of Sales’ for the company, and he doesn’t hold any type of health care license in the state of Tennessee.
According to an arrest warrant served upon Cutter, he was acting as a home health caregiver for a Nashville man in November of 2018, and had come to the man’s residence on November 26th to transport him to a doctor’s appointment. After he left the residence with the patient, a 94-year-old relative of the patient, who also lives at the same residence, noticed his own bottle of Hydrocodone pills had been moved from its usual location on top of the refrigerator. He checked the bottle, and realized 2 pills were missing from the bottle.
Upon Cutter’s return to the home with the patient, the 94-year-old man confronted Tyler Cutter, and says Cutter admitted to taking the pills. The man demanded their return, and Cutter complied, returning the two pills. Cutter was then terminated by the man, and he left the residence. The patient then checked his own prescription bottles, and found the following missing:
- 46 Oxycodone pills ($460)
- 30 Hydrocodone pills ($150)
- 49 Valium pills ($245)
- 66 Robaxin pills ($198)
Tyler Cutter[IG] had been employed by the family for approximately 2-weeks prior to the thefts, and no one else had been in the residence during that time. Cutter is charged with two counts of theft, one misdemeanor, and one felony, and posted an $8,000 bond via Grumpy’s. He is scheduled to appear in court later this month. Cutter has prior cases for assault and public intoxication dismissed in Davidson County, and in Rutherford County he has a retired domestic assault from 2015, and plead a DUI 1st offense charge from 2013 down to a reckless endangerment charge, for which he served 5 days and served probation.
