Devin Tyler Lamb[fb], 28, is currently jailed in lieu of a $100,500 bond after he was found in the parking lot of America’s Best Value Inn with a firearm, and strips of LSD (acid).
Police encountered Lamb while on routine patrol of the area, while he was sitting in a running vehicle of the hotel’s parking lot at 622 Rivergate Parkway. When asked if he was staying at the motel, he said he was not, but he was meeting friends who were not yet there. Police note that he immediately separated himself from the car upon making contact with him. When asked for his registration to ‘document’ the stop’ he reached into the car and opened the glove box, at which time an officer saw an empty handgun holster in the glove box
Lamb was separated from the vehicle and detained in cuffs due to the possibility of a handgun being present. The officer oddly notes:
The defendant was wearing a necklace that had a large lettered pendant that spelled “Trigga D”.
Lamb disclosed there was a loaded gun in the center console, but did not have a round in the chamber. A total of 57 rounds of ammunition was also located in the vehicle, and an extra magazine. When asked why he had a gun, being a convicted felon, Lamb reportedly told officers he carries anyway because he “likes them”. In addition to digital scales, officers found a glass pipe, which Lamb admitted he used for smoking meth, along with an 8-strip of LSD (acid).
Devin Tyler Lamb is charged with CONT SUB, POSS W/INT, LSD 5-49G, DRUG PARAPHERNALIA, POSSESS, WEAPON, DANGEROUS FELONY, POSS OF FIREARM W/INTENT, and WEAPON – FELON – POSS – FIREARM (DRUG OFFENSE). He is held on a $100,500.00 bond.
