Man leaves 3 children in car while inside Antioch Las Nenas Bar for several hours

Garcia Ferman, 41, is waking up in a Nashville jail this morning, charged with 3 counts of child neglect (under 8), after he left his children in his vehicle while reportedly spending several hours inside Las Nenas Bar & Billiards Sunday night.

Metro police say were dispatched  to the bar at 3918 Apache Trail, in Antioch, in response to a call that three small children, ages 8, 6, and 4, had been left in a vehicle unattended. The 7-year-old called his mother at 11:34 p.m. Sunday night, stating that he and his two younger siblings were in the backseat of their father’s car, in the parking lot of a club, were tired, and wanted to go home. They had reportedly been there since 8:00 p.m.

Officers arrived to the location, found the children to be uninjured, but tired, and found their father, Garcia Ferman, standing inside the club, and his identify was confirmed by the children pointing him out. He was taken into custody, and charged with 3 counts of child neglect. He is currently held on a $7,500 bond, and is on a 12-hour hold.
