David Schipper says he bit into a Big Mac from the McDonald’s on Lebanon Pk in Hermitage, and got a surprise that has cost him a lot of money, pain, and anxiety since it happened in September.
According to a recently filed lawsuit, when David arrived home with his food, he bit into the Big Mac, and bit into a staple from inside the sandwich. Biting into the staple caused a crown on ‘tooth #7’ to break, per court documents.
The lawsuit seeks damages for the cost of past and future dental work, pain & suffering, stress, anxiety, and for lost time from work dealing with the issue – in total, $15,111.30.
We reached out to GrayCo Management, who is the franchisee for this location, but their representative had not yet provided a statement at the time of publication. A copy of the civil suit is below, as filed in a Davidson County court:
