32-year old Kanisha Lunsford was taken into custody Wednesday on an outstanding warrant, charged with theft of a computer cable from Burger King in October, which caused the Nolensville Pk location to be unable to process credit card transactions.

Metro Police responded to Kroger at 61 E Thompson Lane Wednesday, after a loss prevention employee had detained a female, later identified as Kanisha Lunsford, for placing Downy laundry product ($5.67 value) under a child’s car seat in her shopping cart, also covering it with her purse, then leaving the store without paying for the item.

When police arrived and took her into custody, they realized Lunsford had an outstanding warrant from an October 2018 incident involving her former employer, Burger King, of 2950 Nolensville Pike. The warrant from that incident describes security video footage of Kanisha Lunsford, and an accomplice, removing a computer cable from computer equipment in the store’s office, and concealing it in a bag, preventing the store from processing any credit card transactions while the cabling was missing. The suspects then fled the scene with the bag containing the cabling.

Lunsford was booked into the Davidson County Jail on two counts of theft, and freed on pre-trial release.
