Metro Nashville police were dispatched to the Days Inn at 1400 Brick Church Pike Monday, in response to a bomb threat that just turned out to be a man high on cocaine.
Hotel staff reported that guest Dana Eugene Bailey, 56, had reported having a bomb in his room. Police made contact with the guest, and immediately observed a white substance on a night stand inside the room. Bailey signed a search consent form, and officers located a crack pipe, 1.7 grams of cocaine, and a large amount of copper from a ‘chore boy’.
Dana Eugene Bailey was taken into custody and charged with possession of cocaine w/intent over .5 grams, and paraphernalia charges. He is currently held in lieu of a $15,000 bond.
