Alex Oldham, 24, remains in a Nashville jail today, in lieu of an $85,500 bond, after he led police on a chase in a stolen car. MNPD eventually had the car remotely powered down, and took him into custody, along with his marijuana, cocaine, heroin, and methamphetamine.

Metro Nashville Police say they were given the location of a stolen 2019 Hyundai Sante Fe late Thursday night, and Hyundai was actively tracking the location of the vehicle. Officers observed the vehicle on Clarksville Pike near Cliff Drive, and activated their lights and sirens, but the vehicle refused to stop, and continued onto the Interstate, heading north on I-65. That’s when Hyundai remotely powered down the vehicle for MNPD, and the vehicle slowed while traveling on the interstate. Alex Oldham was then seen exiting the vehicle as it slowly rolled, and fled from the officers on foot, despite repeated commands to stop. A MNPD K-9 was able to assist in his take-down after a brief foot pursuit by officers.
