23-year-old Elinor Sawyer is free on pre-trial release after a Monday arrest, charging her with DUI & illegal gun possession. Police say she stated she was ‘driving back to work’ when she crashed her vehicle and blew a .183 on a breathalyzer.

Metro Police responded to a single vehicle accident Monday, and found Elinor Sawyer standing outside the vehicle. Police say she admitted she had been driving back to work at the time of the crash. Officers observed bloodshot and watery eyes, slurred speech, memory trouble, and a strong smell of alcohol, as related to Sawyer, who showed signs of impairment on all three field sobriety tests, according to her arrest warrant.

She was charged with driving under the influence and possession of a handgun while under the influence, and freed on pre-trial release.
